Clinical Supervision
I am an approved Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) supervisor in both California and North Carolina. I provide clinical supervision to Associate Clinical Social Workers (ASWs/LCSWAs) working toward their independent licensure. Supervision is available in both individual and group formats. For your convenience or when face-to-face meetings are impractical, we can utilize secure remote methods, including video-conferencing and telephone consultations.
Special Education Advocacy
Negotiating the maze of the special education and mental health bureaucracies to get the help your child needs can be daunting. Often, schools and mental health staff make arbitrary decisions that run contrary to your child’s unique educational challenges. I have an “insider’s” understanding of the educational and mental health system, and can guide you through the Individual Education Plan (IEP) process. I will provide you with coaching and preparation to advocate for your child in the IEP meetings. When necessary and practicable, I can also represent you as an advocate.
New Hire Screening
Hiring the best candidate for a leadership position is crucial to the success of your organization. Avoiding hiring mistakes is not only critical for operational performance, but it also protects and ensures a positive public image. I assist hiring committees by objectively assessing an applicant’s judgment, temperament, integrity, and interpersonal skills. The purpose of this specialized screening service is to help employers determine if a candidate under consideration is free from any emotional or mental conditions that might impact their ability to meet the rigorous demands of the position.
The Approach
When necessary, I can be in the room as part of the interview team with the candidate. After the interview is completed, he will provide his observations of the candidate. Prior to the interview I can provide suggestions for the use of personality inventories and further psychological testing if necessary. For an additional charge, a personal reliability screening can be completed by a veteran law enforcement official, which upon request can include the following: criminal history, financial history and additional investigation if requested.
